How do I factory reset or enter pairing mode?
Press and hold the side button for 8 to 16 seconds, then release. The LED indicator will flash orange.
How is the device powered?
Powered by two AAA batteries (included), delivering over two years of battery life. Supports rechargeable batteries (not included).
How should the LWR02 be installed for optimal performance?
For the best detection accuracy, horizontal installation is recommended. Vertical installation is not advised, but if necessary, the device should be placed at or slightly above the target height and angled downward. To avoid false triggers, do not position the device facing large glass surfaces, and keep it away from moving objects such as fans or curtains to ensure stable detection.
What should I do if pairing fails with smart home hub?
If pairing fails, first make sure your phone and the Thread Border Router are connected to the same local network. Then restart your home hub and check that IPv6 is enabled in your router settings, as this is required for platforms like Home Assistant, Alexa, and external Thread Border Routers.
Can the sensor be paired with two phones at the same time?
No. For security reasons, the Lafaer app currently supports pairing with only one phone. It is recommended to use your primary mobile device for setup.
